Rebecca Leonard has a love of building meaningful impact that has driven her 25 year career in corporate citizenship and communications. Her consulting work has spanned industries and ranging from ESG reporting to long-term strategic development. In addition to her consulting practice at Purposeful Projects, she is an Executive Advisor and Teaching Fellow at the Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship, a thought leadership center in the Carroll School of Management.
She has held leadership roles at Fortune 500 companies including heading public relations, brand communications. community relations and philanthropy. Prior to corporate roles, she held progressive positions in marketing agencies, working on top brands such as Frito-Lay, Universal Entertainment and AT&T. She has certifications in the Global Reporting Initiative, Corporate Citizenship Leadership, and Women's Leadership, and has taught integrated marketing communications at the graduate school level.
Her passion for positive social change extends into community leadership; she serves as a board member and advisor to local and international non-profits. She is a speaker at many events and conferences, and has shared her perspective in media outlets such as USA Today, Forbes, Rolling Stone, Newsweek, Brandweek, PR Week and Ad Age.
